1- LIVING ROOM

Before we start real picture

When we first saw this apartment in Reem Island, I knew there were some design issues that needed to be fixed. The layout didn’t make sense—the TV was positioned directly in front of the window, blocking natural light, and there was a small window in the partition wall between the kitchen and living room. This opening didn’t serve any real purpose; it only allowed cooking smells to spread into the living area. The space had potential, but it required a thoughtful redesign to make it both aesthetically pleasing and practical for everyday living.

3D Renders

To make the space more functional, I closed off the window in the partition wall and transformed it into a TV unit. This simple change completely reoriented the living room, making it feel larger and more cohesive. The TV unit was designed with clean lines and a mix of travertine, grey panels, and natural wood, creating a warm and modern look. I also used travertine on the main wall from the corridor into the living room, transitioning into wood in the dining area to subtly separate the two spaces. By implementing this change, we created a clear visual distinction between different zones while maintaining an open and airy feel.

Adjusted Floor Plan

Not only did this adjustment enhance the flow of the space, but it also significantly improved the functionality of the living area. Without the awkwardly placed TV in front of the window, the room felt brighter and more inviting. The new TV unit provided a natural focal point, making it easier to arrange the furniture in a way that encouraged conversation and comfort. The closed partition also helped create a sense of privacy between the kitchen and the living room, reducing noise and preventing cooking odors from lingering. This reconfiguration laid the foundation for a more balanced and harmonious interior, where every element felt purposeful and well-integrated.

Mood Board

This mood board reflects a modern, sophisticated, warm, inviting space. A neutral-toned sectional and sculptural coffee table sit atop a textured rug, creating a cozy yet refined living area. The TV wall combines wood, grey cabinetry, and stone for a clean, layered look, accented by delicate pendant lighting. In the dining area, a bold marble-top table with a sculptural black base is paired with a mix of chairs for a curated, effortless style.

2- MASTER BEDROOM

Each bedroom was designed with a unique identity, tailored to the personality and preferences of its occupant. The master bedroom took on a luxurious, hotel-inspired feel with dark wood and stone panels behind the bed, creating a rich and sophisticated backdrop. The rest of the walls were finished with soft, neutral wallpaper to balance the darker elements and maintain a cozy ambiance. Custom bedside tables and warm lighting enhanced the upscale aesthetic, making the room feel like a personal retreat.

3- ELDEST KID'S BEDROOM

For the eldest child’s room, we aimed for a mature, timeless design that would grow with him. Walnut wooden slats were incorporated to add warmth and texture, complementing the sleek black leather bed. A rotating desk that also functions as a storage cabinet was added to provide flexibility and maximize space. To inject personality into the room, we introduced a bold orange accent, which he absolutely loved. This touch of color added vibrancy without overwhelming the overall design.

4-YOUNGEST KID'S BEDROOM

The younger child’s room was much smaller, so maximizing space was key. We kept the design light and airy with white stone and natural wood, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. A custom-built desk fit perfectly into the limited space, providing a dedicated area for study and play. Additional shelves were installed to ensure ample storage for books and toys, helping to keep the room organized. To make room for a 75-inch TV, we extended one of the walls, ensuring the layout remained practical without feeling cramped. This adjustment allowed for a perfect blend of function and fun, making the space both useful and engaging for the child.
